Unwell
Tristan is so unwell since yesterday.
We didn't see it coming. Thursday night, he was really babbly while putting him to sleep. He probably spent half an hour or so babbling with alien words. We even caught those moments in camera for his Lolo and Lola from the Philippines to see it. Come 3 in the morning, I heard him with a whimpering sound. Checked him in the room and got alarmed when I touched his forehead. He was burning hot!
Early friday morning, I think he was feeling better but he still has fever. His pamol helped bring his temp down last night. By lunchtime, his temp wasn't getting any better. Finally, we decided to bring him to the doctor's clinic in the afternoon. We've given him paracetamol and nothing has happened to improve his temp from 39 degrees celsius.
Before showing up at the doctor's clinic, P, Tristan and I still managed to pass by the Plunket. We've been notified 2 weeks ago by the Plunket nurse in time for Tristan's 15th month check errr should be 16th month rather! Usually, they do some measurements on Tristan's weight and height, would see how his growth progress is, and see to it that we, parents, are taking good care of him. It's basically an overall assessment and examination for my little baba.
At 16 months, Tristan weighs 12.2 kg and is 82 cm tall. According to Jill, the Plunket nurrse, he's still on the upper 75% of the percentile for NZ boys' growth. Yep, he's tall for his age! :-) and J even emphasized he's gonna be taller than his dad!
Anyway, off we went to the clinic and we were proceeded immediately to the nurses' station. Nurse Rob checked his temp and it was 40.1 DC! We have to remove all his clothings except for the nappy to cool him down. After spending 3 long hours inside the clinic, we were finally sent home by Dr. H... with a very strict instruction to check Tristan's temp every hour for the next 24 hours.
