Gardens of Hamilton

For the past month, nothing serious or fate-changing has occurred. Mostly, days were spent on work (for me) and some backyard playthings for moi, P and T. And during the long weekends, we try to spend it somewhere.

For the Christmas holiday, we spent it in my parents’ home ---Palmy of course! It’s a long drive for us. On our way there, we stopped by Hamilton Garden whereby our half an hour planned stop-over for brunch has turned out to be an hour – quarter of an hour for the brunch and three quarters for sightseeing. The Gardens are superbly breathtaking! It’s my first time to visit the garden and I was taken aback with the beauty. A part of the garden is landscaped (and compartmentalised) to feature some of the world’s most popular gardens: Italian, English, Roman, Chinese, Japanese, Indian and American. Each of the gardens is so unique that once entering into one, you’ll feel yourself transported to the scenic view and atmosphere of the country. I really enjoyed it and it’s something to be seen to appreciate New Zealand (or it’s contribution to the global society thereof).

Well, New Year’s was spent at home. One thing that’s unusual is that we bought a new TV. Tired of the teeny weeny one we’ve had since moving on our own. Lol.
